Bears and humans have a love-hate relationship spanning thousands of years.  To learn more about bears visit our bear resource center(Updated July, 2001)

Birds are an enigma.  They fascinate us with their grace and beauty and frustrate us when they destroy our gardens.  Knowing the species, the problems and how to deal with, and care for, birds is an important part of responsible wildlife management.

Our Marine Waters Resource Center provides links to ocean and marine waters environmental research, a section devoted to reef's and a section that profiles whales, sharks, seals and other marine species. (Updated November, 2001)

Wild animals cause damage be they rats, opossum, raccoon, bear, deer, elk, bird, snake, bat, alligator, etc.  There is no "one size fits all" solution to dealing with wildlife damage.  Our Wildlife Damage Control Center offers a range of helpful links.

The wildlife management legal framework in the United States is complex.  Our Wildlife Law and Treaties Center provides links to the International treaties, bodies of law, Executive Orders, etc. regulating wildlife management.

Our Academic Institutions section provides links to wildlife research centers and training programs for nearly 100 colleges and universities.  The academic institution database is broken down into regions to facilitate use of this resource.

More than twenty subdirectories are available in our Environmental Resources Center for everything from advocacy to zoology to assist our visitors research wildlife issues.  (Updated November, 2001)

Animal Welfare and Rehabilitation are important aspects of wildlife management.  This resource profile includes links to searchable directories for pet and wildlife health care and wildlife rehabilitation services.
